Jiase 稼穡 (sowing and reaping) (*jiā-xià* fanqie; the second is *suǒ-lì* fanqie; the Zilin states: "Planting is called *jia* [稼]; harvesting is called *se* [穡]"; the Shuowen jiezi states: "The flowering and fruiting of grain is *jia* [稼]"; another source says: "Standing in the field is called *jia* [稼]").
