泥墼（上奴奚反顧野王云泥即塗也說文從水尼聲下經亦反蒼頡篇云墼壘也顧野王云今刻土方如甓而不燒為墼也所以用築為城壘說文從土擊省聲也甓音蒲壁反）。

Níjī 泥墼 (unbaked mud-brick) (The upper character has the fanqie 奴奚 [ní]. Gu Yewang states: "Ní 泥 means plaster (tú 塗)." The Shuowen states: "Taking 水 as classifier and 尼 as phonetic." The lower character has the fanqie 經亦 [jī]. The Cangjie pian states: "Jī 墼 means rampart." Gu Yewang states: "Nowadays, cutting earth into squares like bricks without firing them makes jī 墼; they are used to build city walls and ramparts." The Shuowen states: "Taking 土 as classifier, with 擊 abbreviated as phonetic." Pì 甓 has the fanqie 蒲壁 [pì]).
