梁椽（上力羊反爾雅云楣謂之梁郭注云屋大梁也說文從木從水刃聲下長攣反考聲云椽屋椽也說文云秦謂之椽從木篆省聲也篆音傳戀反攣音力㩲反）。

Liángchuán 梁椽 (beams and rafters) (The upper character has the fanqie 力羊 [liáng]. The Erya states: "A lintel is called a liáng 梁." Guo's commentary states: "The main beam of a building." The Shuowen states: "Taking 木 and 水 as classifiers, with 刃 as phonetic." The lower character has the fanqie 長攣 [chuán]. The Kaosheng states: "Chuán 椽 are roof rafters." The Shuowen states: "In Qin they were called chuán; taking 木 as classifier, with 篆 abbreviated as phonetic." 篆 has the fanqie 傳戀 [zhuàn]; 攣 has the fanqie 力㩲 [luán]).
