踰繕那（梵語市戰反亦言踰闍那此云合也應也計應合爾許度量同此方驛也自古聖王一日行也案西國饍那亦有大小或三十里或四十里昔來皆取四十里也舊經論中或云由延又作由旬或言俞旬皆訛略也）。

踰繕那 [yojana] (Sanskrit; the second character is pronounced with the fanqie 市 + 戰 [shàn]; also called 踰闍那; rendered here as 'union' or 'fitting'. Reckoned as fitting such an amount of measure, corresponding to a postal relay station in this land; it is a single day's march of a sage king from antiquity. Note that in the Western countries, a yojana also has larger and smaller sizes: some say thirty li, some forty li. In the past, forty li has generally been adopted. In older sūtras and treatises, it was written as 由延, also as 由旬, or as 俞旬; all are corrupt abbreviations).
