頂戴 [bearing upon the head] (pronounced with the fanqie 得 + 代 [dài]. Gu Yewang states: 'Reverently upholding on one's top is called 戴.' The *Guoyu* states: 'To be on the head is called 戴.' Jia Kui's commentary states: '戴 means to uphold.' The *Shuowen* states: 'Classified under the radical 異 with 𢦏 as its phonetic component; 𢦏 is pronounced zāi').
