甄說（上見賢反考聲云甄明也察也桂菀珠叢云亦表明也說文從瓦垔聲也垔音因也）。

甄說 [discerning exposition] (the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 見 + 賢 [jiān]. The *Kaosheng* states: '甄 means to make clear, to examine.' The *Guiyuan zhucong* states: 'It also means to manifest and clarify.' The *Shuowen* states: 'Classified under the radical 瓦 with 垔 as its phonetic component; 垔 is pronounced yīn').
