祿位（盧屋反福也案古者人无耕𮃯多食野鹿在朝之人闕於田獵官賜以物當為鹿處後人因之謂為食鹿變鹿為祿者取其神福之義也）。

Official emolument and rank (祿位, [祿 is pronounced with the fanqie] *lu* + *wu*, meaning blessing; considering ancient times when people did not plow and sow, they mostly ate wild deer (鹿, *lu*); for those at court who were kept from hunting, the government granted them goods to serve in place of deer; later generations continued this and called it 'eating deer', and changing 'deer' (鹿) into 'emolument' (祿) was to adopt the sense of divine blessings).
