Fishy and rancid (腥臊, [腥 is] also written as 胜, pronounced with the fanqie *xian* + *ding*; the next character is pronounced with the fanqie *xiao* + *dao*; *xingsao* means foul-smelling; the *Tongsuwen* states that the stench of fish is called *xing*, and the stench of boars is called *sao*; *jia* (猳) is pronounced *jia*).
