Heterodox way (左道, [左 is pronounced with the fanqie] *zi* + *ke*, meaning inferior; the superior is on the right, which is improper; the *Liji* states: 'Holding heterodox ways to confuse the multitudes'; Zheng Xuan says: 'Heterodox ways are like witchcraft, sorcery, and vulgar taboos').
