坰野（公營反爾雅邑外謂之郊郊外謂之牧牧外謂之林皆各七里林外謂之坰坰无里數百之國邑五者之男也）。

Outlying wilds (坰野: [坰 has] the fanqie 公 + 營 [jiōng]. The Erya says: 'Outside a city is called suburbs (郊); outside the suburbs is called pasture (牧); outside the pasture is called woods (林), each seven li apart. Outside the woods is called wilds (坰). Wilds have no limit of distance, being the fifth outlying zone of a feudal domain').
