鼷鼠（胡鷄反說文小鼠也爾雅鼷鼠郭璞曰有螫毒也食人及鳥獸雖至盡而不知亦不痛今之甘口鼠也）。
Field mouse (鼷鼠) (fanqie: 胡 + 鷄. The Shuowen jiezi says: "A small mouse." The Erya has "field mouse (xīshǔ)"; Guo Pu says: "It has stinging venom. When it eats humans, birds, or beasts, even if it gnaws until [the flesh is] gone, they do not notice and feel no pain. It is today's 'sweet-mouthed mouse'").
