Admonish and encourage (誡勗: pronounced [古+薤] *j-*; the second is pronounced [許+玉] *x-*; 誡 means to warn and command; it also means to be prepared. The Fangyan says: "In Qi and Lu, to exert oneself is called 勗; it means to stimulate").
