聚[燰-(心/ㄆ)+(必/(彰-章+(民-(弋-、))))]（上從庾反杜注左傳云聚眾也何注公羊云𣫍也字書云積集也說文云聚會也從[派-(虒-虎)]取聲𠂢音吟下焦躍反字書云爝炬火也說文云從火爵聲論本云爝俗字炬亦從廾作苣云束葦燒之也）。

聚爝 (The first character is *cong* + *yu* fanqie; Du's commentary to the *Zuo tradition* says: "聚 means a multitude." He's commentary to the *Gongyang* says: "To assemble." The *Zishu* says: "To accumulate and gather." The *Shuowen* says: "聚 means to assemble; derived from [派-(虒-虎)] with 取 phonetic; 𠂢 is pronounced *yin*." The second character is *jiao* + *yue* fanqie; the *Zishu* says: "爝 means a torch." The *Shuowen* says: "Derived from 火 with 爵 phonetic." In the treatise text it is said that 爝 is a vulgar character; torch is also written with 廾 as 苣, meaning burning a bundle of reeds).
