杜多（梵語也亦云頭陀此云斗藪修遠離行有十二種前音義第二卷經第五十三卷中已具釋）。

杜多 (a Sanskrit word, also termed 頭陀; translated here as 'shaking off' [dhūta]. It refers to cultivating the practice of detachment, of which there are twelve kinds; it has already been explained in detail above in fascicle 2 of the Sounds and Meanings, under fascicle 53 of the sūtra).
