Utpala flower (嗢鉢羅花: the first character has the fanqie 烏骨反; Sanskrit. It is a blue lotus flower with narrow petals. In older texts it was written as oupaluo [漚鉢羅] or youpoluo [優鉢羅], both of which are corruptions. This flower is the most fragrant and the largest; it does not exist among humans at all, but exists in the Lake of Anavatapta [Lake without Torment] in the Snow Mountains).
