矯穢（此二非梵字上居夭反正作撟鄭玄注周禮云撟詐也字書矯要也經文作矯俗字也下迃衛反迃於雨反韻英云穢惡也考聲云芒蕪也）。

Deceptive and impure (矯穢): (These two are not Sanskrit characters.) The first character is read with the fanqie 居 + 夭; the standard form is written as 撟. Zheng Xuan's commentary on the Zhouli says: '撟 means deceitful.' A character dictionary says: '矯 means to extort.' Written in the sūtra text as 矯 is a vulgar character. The second character is read with the fanqie 迃 (read with the fanqie 於 + 雨) + 衛. The Yunying says: '穢 means vile.' The Kaosheng says: 'Overgrown weeds.'
