灰燼（訶信反杜注左傳燼火餘之木也方言燼餘也說文從火盡聲也）。
Embers and ashes [灰燼] (jin: h[ē] + [x]ìn fan; Du's Commentary on the Zuo Tradition says: '"Jìn" is the wood remaining from fire.' The Fangyan says: '"Jìn" means remnant.' The Shuowen says: 'It takes the phonetic "jìn" (盡) under the "huǒ" (火) radical').
