市廛（直連反梵言阿縛遮羅此云市廛禮記市廛不征鄭玄云廛謂市物𮟴舍也今市中肆是也舊云欲行非也案梵本僧塞迦羅此云行名不當本故立為廛也）。

Market stalls (Fanqie: 直 [zh-] + 連 [-ian]. In Sanskrit, avacara; here rendered as 'market stalls'. The Liji states: 'Market stalls are not taxed.' Zheng Xuan says: 'Chan refers to the stalls and sheds for market goods; today's shops in the market are this.' The old rendering 'realm of desire' is incorrect. According to the Sanskrit text, saṃskāra translates as 'conditioned phenomena'; because the name did not match the original, it was rendered as 'market stalls').
