澄渟（定經反埤蒼云水所止也字書云水滯也廣雅亦渟止也說文從水亭聲也）。

澄渟 (clear and still: [渟 has the fanqie] 定經. The Picang says: "Where water comes to a halt." Character dictionaries say: "Water stagnating." The Guangya also says: "Ting (渟) means stopping." The Shuowen says: "From water (⽔) with the sound ting (亭)").
