鄴隍（上嚴劫反漢書魏郡有鄴縣故大河在東也說文從邑業聲下見光反說文城壕有水曰池無木曰隍也從阜皇聲）。

Ye moat (鄴隍; the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 嚴 + 劫 [yè]. The Hanshu says: "Weijun has Ye County; the former Yellow River lay to its east." The Shuowen says: "It is formed with the city semantic and 業 as phonetic." The second character is pronounced with the fanqie 見 + 光 [huáng]. The Shuowen says: "A city moat with water is called Chí; one without water is called Huáng." It is formed with the mound semantic and 皇 as phonetic).
