稻稈（下千旱反考聲云稈禾黍莖也杜注左傳云槀也廣雅云稻穰也從禾旱聲旱音翰也）。

Rice stalk (稻稈; the second character is pronounced with the fanqie 千 + 旱 [gǎn]. The Kaosheng says: "Gǎn refers to the stalks of grain and millet." Du [Yu's] commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: "Dry straw." The Guangya says: "Rice straw." It is formed with the grain semantic and 旱 as phonetic; 旱 is pronounced hàn).
