問緒（徐與反郭璞注爾雅云緒謂端緒也又曰緒事也毛詩傳曰緒業也王逸注楚辭云緒餘也說文緒端也從糸者聲）。

問緒 'Inquiring into the clue' (The second character is fanqie 徐 + 與. Guo Pu's commentary on the Erya states: '緒 means the beginning thread (端緒).' It also states: '緒 means an affair.' The Mao Commentary on the Shijing states: '緒 means an undertaking.' Wang Yi's commentary on the Chuci states: '緒 means a remnant.' The Shuowen jiezi states: '緒 means the end of a thread; derived from 糸 "silk" with 者 phonetic.').
