怋沈（上忽昆反孔注尚書怋亂也鄭箋注詩曰怋憧無所知也說文從心從民下持林反孔注尚書沈謂冥醉也顧野王沈猶沒也說文從水從冘冘音余針反）。

怋沈 (the first character fanqie: 忽昆; Kong's Commentary on the Shangshu says: "Min means confusion, disorder"; Zheng's Commentary on the Shijing says: "Min means disoriented and knowing nothing"; the Shuowen derives it from 心 [heart] and 民; the lower character fanqie: 持林; Kong's Commentary on the Shangshu says: "Chen means deeply intoxicated"; Gu Yewang says: "Chen is like drowning, sinking"; the Shuowen derives it from 水 [water] and 冘; 冘 is pronounced 余針 fanqie).
