齅生（休又反說文以鼻就臭曰齅從鼻臭臭亦聲也）。

"To sniff raw [meat]" (Fanqie: 休 + 又 [xiù]. The Shuowen jiezi says: 'To bring the nose close to a scent is called xiu (齅).' It derives from the nose radical and scent (臭); scent also provides the phonetic).
