檥方（宜倚反又音宜如淳注史記云南方人謂整船向岸曰檥孟康注云附也船著岸也或作艤同說文從木義聲）。

"To moor square" (Fanqie: 宜 + 倚 [yǐ]; also pronounced yí. Ru Chun's commentary on the Shiji says: 'Southerners refer to aligning a boat toward the shore as 檥.' Meng Kang's commentary says: 'To draw near; bringing the boat to shore.' Some write it as 艤, which is the same. The Shuowen jiezi says it derives from the wood radical with 義 as phonetic).
