鶖鷺（上七修反下盧妬反案鶖鷺者反舌鳥也舍利弗母眼似此鳥因以名之故云鶖鷺子說文並從鳥秋路聲也）。

鶖鷺 (The first character has the fanqie 七修; the second has the fanqie 盧妬. Upon examination, the qiulu is the Chinese grosbeak (fanshe). Śāriputra's mother's eyes resembled this bird, so he was named after it; hence he is called Qiuluzi [son of the heron/Śāri]. The Shuowen jiezi states that both are derived from the 'bird' radical (鳥), with 秋 and 路 respectively as phonetics.)
