害憍（矯喬反毛詩鄭箋云憍逸也顧野王云憍謂自矜罰縱恣怛慢也古今正字從心喬聲論作憍俗字通用也）。

害憍 (The second character has the fanqie 矯喬. Zheng [Xuan]'s notes on the Mao Shi state: "Jiao (憍) means dissipated." Gu Yewang states: "Jiao refers to self-conceit, self-indulgence, arrogance, and disrespect." The Gujin zhengzi states that it is derived from the 'heart' radical (心) with 喬 as phonetic. In the treatise, it is written as 憍; the popular character is interchangeable.)
