拘隣（毘邪婆問經作阿若居隣此譯云阿若言已知止言解了抱隣姓也大哀經作拘輪晉言本際第一解法者也普曜經文云俱隣者解本際也即經中尊者了本際是也此即憍陳如也）。

拘隣 (The Poxiepo wen jing writes Ājñāta-Kauṇḍinya; here it is translated as: ājñāta means 'already known', or 'thoroughly understood'; Kauṇḍinya is the clan name. The Da'ai jing writes Julun, which in the Jin language means 'original limit' [pūrvakoṭi], the foremost who understood the Dharma. The text of the Puyao jing says: 'Kulin is one who understood the original limit,' that is, the Venerable Liao-benji [Understanding the Original Limit] in the sutras; this is indeed Kauṇḍinya).
