[(餐-食)-又+凶]暴（又作凶同許顒反爾雅凶咎也說文凶惡也下蒲報反廣雅暴猝也疾也字從廾日出從手手音土高也）。

Fierce and violent ([(餐-食)-又+凶]暴, also written 凶; both *xu* + *yong* fan; the *Erya* says: '凶 means misfortune.' The *Shuowen jiezi* says: '凶 means evil.' The second character is *pu* + *bao* fan; the *Guangya* says: '暴 means sudden; rapid.' The character is composed of 廾, 日 coming out, and 手; the reading of 手 is *tu* + *gao*).
