防禦（魚舉反防𬾨也亦禁放逸也爾雅禦禁也制捍禦之也捍音胡旦反禁禦二字並從示）。

Defend and ward off (防禦: the fanqie is y[ú] + [j]ǔ. To prevent and guard against; also to restrain negligence and dissoluteness. The Erya says: "禦 (yù) means to forbid." To control, ward off, and defend against. 捍 has the fanqie h[ú] + [d]àn. Both 禁 and 禦 are composed with the altar/sign radical [示]).
