洗盪（上西禮反下堂朗反說文云盪滌器也從皿湯聲滌之音亭歷反）。

Washing and cleansing (洗盪: the upper [character has the fanqie] 西禮 [x- + -ǐ → xǐ]; the lower [character has the fanqie] 堂朗 [t- + -ǎng → dǎng]. The Shuowen says: “盪 means to wash a vessel. Formed from 皿 (vessel) and 湯 as phonetic.” The pronunciation of 滌 is 亭歷 [t- + -ek → tí]).
