為瞑（音冥考聲閉目也左傳云謚曰靈而不瞋謚曰成乃暝說文翕目也從目冥聲翕音歆急反）。

為瞑 (to close the eyes; pronounced like 冥. The Kaosheng states: "To close the eyes." The Zuo zhuan states: "Confer the posthumous name Ling and he will not stare angrily; confer the posthumous name Cheng and then he will close his eyes in death." The Shuowen jiezi states: "To shut the eyes. Composed with the eye radical (目) and ming (冥) phonogram." 翕 has the fanqie: 歆 + 急).
