執變 (grasping transformations; fanqie: 碑 + 院. Transformation; exchange; alteration. The Baihu tong states: "What is a calamity and anomaly (zaibian)? Bian is what is extraordinary." In the sūtra text it is written as 𭵴, which is an error; the character dictionaries show that this character does not exist).
