欝單越（或名欝怛羅越或言欝拘樓或言郁多羅鳩留正言欝怛羅究瑠此譯云高上作謂高上於餘方亦言勝鳩留此云作亦云姓也）。

欝單越 (also named Uttarakuru [欝怛羅越], or called Uttarakuru [欝拘樓], or called Uttarakuru [郁多羅鳩留]; the correct pronunciation is Uttarakuru [欝怛羅究瑠]. Translated here, it means 'superior action', meaning superior to the other directions; it is also translated as 'supreme'. Kuru [鳩留] here translates as 'action', and it also means a clan name.)
