瞿陀尼（或名俱耶尼或名瞿耶尼或名瞿伽尼皆是訛轉也瞿此譯云牛陀尼夜此云取與以彼多牛用牛市易如此間用錢帛等或云有石牛也）。

瞿陀尼 (also named Godānīya [俱耶尼], or named Godānīya [瞿耶尼], or named Godānīya [瞿伽尼]; all are corrupt variants. Go [瞿] is translated here as 'ox'. Dānīya [陀尼夜] here means 'giving and taking' [commerce], because in that land there are many oxen, which are used to trade in markets, just as coins and silks are used in this land; others say there is a stone ox there.)
