Food provisions (饌具: for the first character, the fanqie is 士 + 眷. Zheng [Xuan's] commentary on the Yili says: "饌 means to lay out." Ma [Rong's] commentary on the Lunyu says: "饌 means food and drink." The Guangya says: "To present." The Shuowen says: "Prepared food; formed from [the semantic component] 食 ('food') and the phonetic component 巽.")
