耗減（上呼奧反埤蒼耗消也說文從禾毛聲下咸斬反韓詩減少也杜注左傳云秏也損也說文從水咸聲也）。

Diminished and reduced (耗減: for the first character, the fanqie is 呼 + 奧. The Picang says: "耗 means to consume." The Shuowen says: "Formed from [the semantic component] 禾 and the phonetic component 毛." For the second character, the fanqie is 咸 + 斬. The Han Shi says: "減少 means few." Du [Yu's] commentary on the Zuozhuan says: "秏 means to diminish." The Shuowen says: "Formed from [the semantic component] 水 and the phonetic component 咸.")
