唯諾（上惟癸反鄭注禮記云唯恭於諾說文從口隹聲下囊洛反又音而者反毛詩傳云諾應辭也何注公羊傳云受語辭也說文從言若聲）。

唯諾 (The first character has the fanqie 惟 + 癸. Zheng's commentary on the Liji says: '唯 is more reverent than 諾.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Formed from the classifier 口 ("mouth") and the phonetic 隹.' The second character has the fanqie 囊 + 洛, and is also pronounced with the fanqie 而 + 者. The Mao commentary on the Shijing says: '諾 is an expression of assent.' He's commentary on the Gongyang zhuan says: 'An expression acknowledging speech.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Formed from the classifier 言 ("speech") and the phonetic 若.').
