鴟鵂 (pronounced with the fanqie 許 + 牛 [xiū]. The Erya says of the 괴치: She Ren states: “Also named 'strange bird'; also named xiuliu [scops owl]; in Nanyang it is called gouge [collared scops owl].” The Zilin calls it chixiu [horned owl]).
