應襲（古文作㦻同辝立反左傳九德不衍故襲祿杜預曰襲受也又合也仍也廣雅襲及也）。

Inherit (應襲: ancient form written as 㦻, fanqie 辝立. Zuo zhuan: "The nine virtues did not go astray, hence he inherited (襲) the emoluments." Du Yu says: "襲 [xí] means to receive, and also means to combine, or to continue." Guangya: 襲 means to reach).
