蠱狐 (the upper character is yu and zhe in fanqie; Shuowen says: "The fox is an uncanny beast ridden by spirits; it possesses three virtues: its colour is balanced and harmonious, small in front and large behind, and when dying it invariably turns its head toward its native hill").
