Liufan (floating with the flow) (the second character has the fanqie: 孚 + 梵 [fàn]; Jia Kui's commentary to the *Guoyu* states: 'Fan means to float.' The Mao Commentary to the *Shijing* states: 'Fan is an appearance of flowing.' The *Kaosheng* states: 'Not fixed in one place.' The *Gujin zhengzi* states: 'It takes 水 as semantic classifier and 乏 as phonetic').
