傴僂 ('hunchbacked and stooped'): For the first character, the fanqie is [y- + u >] yǔ and [j- + u >] jǔ. The Guangya says: '傴 means bent and crooked.' Gu Yewang says: '傴 is when the body is bent even more, showing increased deference.' The Shuowen says: '傴 means 僂. Composed of 人 with 區 phonetic.' For the second character, the fanqie is [l- + ong >] lóng and [r- + u >] rǔ. Du Yu's commentary on the Zuozhuan says: '僂 means to hunch upwards.' The Kaosheng says: 'Bowing the body; that is, stooped and bent.' The Gujin zhengzi says: 'Composed of 人 with 婁 phonetic.' The sūtra writes 僂, which is a vulgar character.
