洗濯（上西禮反下撞角反毛詩傳云濯猶滌也又曰所以救熱也廣雅云洗也顧野王云浴也說文濯澣也從水翟聲撞音濁江反澣音緩翟音同上）。

洗濯 ('washing and cleansing'): The first character has the fanqie [x- + i >] xī and [l- + i >] lǐ. The second character has the fanqie [zh- + uang >] zhuàng and [j- + iao >] jiǎo. The Mao Commentary on the Classic of Poetry says: '濯 is like cleansing.' It also says: 'That by which heat is dispelled.' The Guangya says: 'To wash.' Gu Yewang says: 'To bathe.' The Shuowen says: '濯 means to wash clothes. Composed of 水 with 翟 phonetic.' 撞 has the fanqie [zh- + uo >] zhuó and [j- + iang >] jiāng. 澣 has the fanqie [h- + uan >] huǎn. 翟 has the same pronunciation as above.
