嵐毘（力含反或言流毘尼或言林微尼正言藍軬尼此言鹽即上古守園𭑱名也因以名園飯那此云林或譯云解脫處亦云滅亦名斷軬音扶晚也）。

嵐毘: (Fanqie: 力 + 含 [lì-hán]). Also called 流毘尼 [Liupini], or 林微尼 [Linweini]; correctly pronounced 藍軬尼 [Lumbinī]. This translates as 'salt' (lavaṇa), which was the name of an ancient spirit who guarded the garden; the garden was named after her. Vana translates here as 'grove'; it is also translated as 'place of liberation', or 'extinction', or 'severance'. The pronunciation of 軬 is the fanqie: 扶 + 晚 [fú-wǎn].
