色虹（胡公反郭璞爾疋音義云虹雙出鮮盛者為雄雄曰虹暗為雌雌曰蜺蜺或作霓霓音五奚反俗音古巷反青虹也）。

色虹: (Fanqie: 胡 + 公 [hú-gōng]). Guo Pu's Erya yinyi states: 'When rainbows appear in pairs, the vivid and bright one is the male, called hóng; the darker one is the female, called ní.' Ní is also written as 霓 (fanqie: 五 + 奚 [wǔ-xī], in common pronunciation fanqie: 古 + 巷 [gǔ-xiàng]); it is a dark blue rainbow.
