礓石（居良反形如薑也通俗文地多小石謂之礓礫字從石經文從土非也）。

礓石: (Fanqie: 居 + 良 [jū-liáng]). Its shape resembles ginger (jiāng). The Tongsuwen states: 'Ground with many small stones is called jiānglì (gravelly).' The character is composed with the stone radical (石); in the sūtra text it is written with the earth radical (土), which is incorrect.
