三輩（北味反顧野王云輩猶部也宋忠注太玄經云輩類也說文從車非聲經從北作輩俗字是也）。

Three classes (三輩): [The second character is] bei plus wei fan. Gu Yewang says: 'Bei is like a division (bu).' Song Zhong's commentary on the Taixuan jing says: 'Bei means kind or class.' The Shuowen states: 'Takes "carriage" (車), with fei (非) for sound.' The scripture taking bei (北) to write bei (輩) is correct for the popular form.
