不憚（下壇嬾反毛詩箋云憚畏也難也韓詩云憚惡也考聲云勞也說文從心單聲古今正字也）。

不憚 (The second character has the fanqie 壇 + 嬾. The gloss on the Classic of Poetry states that 憚 means to dread or fear; it also means difficult. The Han poetry commentary states that 憚 means to despise. The Kaosheng states that it means labor. The Shuowen says it is formed from 心 [heart] with 單 phonetic. It is standard in ancient and modern orthography).
