攘故（上攘章反韓詩云攘除也鄭注周禮云却災也說文從手襄聲）。
Dispelling the old (攘故): The upper character is rang plus zhang fan. The Han Odes say: 'Rang means to eliminate.' Zheng [Xuan's] commentary on the Rites of Zhou says: 'To avert calamity.' The Shuowen says: 'Takes "hand" (手), with xiang (襄) for sound.'
